WHAT KIND OF PEOPLE USE LOVING HEARTS CARE’S SERVICES
Loving Heart care’s services can help a huge variety of people. Many of our service users are elderly people who want to stay in their own homes, and need a little help to do so. But we can also help younger people who need it, whether because of learning disabilities or physical disabilities. We are also there for families and children, for those in need of palliative care and for more specialised needs
WHAT EXACTLY IS ‘HOME HELP’?
The term ‘home help’ means help with domestic tasks, such as cleaning, cooking and shopping. But it can sometimes be used to refer to the personal care which some people need – help with tasks like washing and dressing, eating etc. An important element of home help is also companionship. This is why Loving Heart Care always tries to maintain continuity so that our clients can get to know their carer and will know what to expect.
CAN YOU HELP PEOPLE WHO ARE SERIOUSLY ILL OR DISABLED?
When we draw up people’s care plans, we make a full assessment of what is needed. If necessary, we will make sure a hoist is available for lifting people safely – and all our care workers are trained to do this. If we are providing specialised care to someone with a long term illness, we will make sure that the needs specific to that situation will be met too.
